Goodbye to the UK

Well my final post on this amazing trip we have had over 6 weeks.
Goodbye to Greenford and the Bridge hotel

View as we were leaving and Nigel kindly came to get us and drop us at our next hotel for 1 night ☺☺

And look at view from the road....close planes for sure

And being Heathrow airport there is a plane landing every 30 seconds

We could actually see 4 lined up in the sky coming in.......

We had a walk down a road near the hotel and went to look at this minature steam train place Nigel had told us about and pointed it out to us in the car.
And as luck had it, open tomorrow when we will be on our long flights home lol

But there was a mini electric set working in this shop

Toot Toot ♥

and Woody relaxed that night watching Midsomer

Up bright and early to the airport and saw this poster.....I am trying my best to do this ☺☺

Selfie waiting to board

View down the corridor

Relaxing on 1st flight of 6 hours

Ready for 2nd flight of 15hrs.........
Well now we have been back for a 2 weeks and finally end of trip posts.......
Thank you Nigel for taking us to the airport hotel and meeting with us.
Thank you Gordon for having us stay with you and for driving us on many occasions.
Thank you Colin and Clive for meeting with us and may you all keep well till we return again.
I do hope some of you get to see my posts and enjoy them too xoxoxo

  1. Thanks for sharing your incredible trip, Wendy! I just spent this evening trying to absorb some of what you did over six weeks...the landscapes, buildings, history, bears, music and entertainment, walking, climbing, eating, flying, and all with Woody as witness :) It was especially fun to see your views of Big Ben. I just posted a photo of a bit smaller tower clock in Lawrence, Massachusetts, that is at the woolen mill my dad worked at for a few years nearly a hundred years ago. Hope you and Paul are getting rested up as you enjoy the good memories you just made! xxxxxxxx
