Tathra exploring

Here we are at Tathra sapphirecoast info caravan park and staying 2 nights.....we stopped here on Thur/fri nights 18th/19th and was pretty crowded and parking was not easy......but managed it with some assistance.... we stayed here once before when it was winter and empty june 2013

We could have parked at the site where a car was using the concrete slab for themselves spreading out......and was even harder to get into......pity some parks have so many trees along the road side where you need to turn your vehicle to get the rig parked......any way we stayed and walked to the local bowls club for tea ☺☺

I have managed to do a bit of crochet on this trek which is good......keeps me from watching the road too much and leave the man in peace lol

These are teething biscuits and going to give them to new grandgirl when needed ☺☺

A red teething biscuit ☺

Also another one of those reversible beanies

Nice and easy and looks different too

Next day we did a road trip to Central Tilba and Tilba Tilba offer a unique opportunity to step back in time and visit perfectly preserved heritage villages and here is the man in their Lolly shop

They sure have plenty here

Looking down the street......

And looking up the other way towards their cheese factory.....no pics of that.....bloody hot day so less photo taking lol

Back in Tathra we stopped at the Historic Tathra Wharf and had a good walk around......used my camera and zoomed in on the surf club.....

zoomed back again.....

Got to love the sea and yep your going to see plenty of these pics lol

Looking out past the wharf.....

Beautiful clear water and nice rocks

This preserved structure built in 1861 now houses the fascinating Tathra Maritime Museum and a cafe too....

We then went up the top of the hill and walked around here....

Nice view from here too

The man reading up on the memorial gardens where it features the names of past citizens.....

Standing on one of the many lookouts..

Looking back down to the old wharf.....

Some of the many memorial plaques....

Me and my shadow

Even the man loves the views up here

Zooming in on the waves....

Once we returned to the van park we took a walk along the beach.....

The old wharf is way over there in the distance......

zoomed in.......

The sea flows in when high tides are on.....and incredibly the night before we did this walk in the dark coming back from the bowls club lol

One of the tracks back to the van park but we did not want to go through the water lol

Waves were up....

And plenty swimming.....as I said it was pretty bloody warm lol

And spied this pigeon trying to hide lol

And we had a lovely selection of cheeses which we picked up at Tilba cheese and some pate' etc.....nice easy tea that night.....
Again hope you are enjoying more of our travels xoxoxo

  1. Wonderful beach adventure...my favorite kind! I love your swirly hat pattern and am curious about the teether. There is nothing inside the biscuit? xx
