Road tripping in Oz

Hello out there 😁😁 Friday we hitched up to head to warmer places and finally check more of Oz....stopped for lunch at The Rock (name of town) for lunch

Bowling club and good feed

We then arrived for our 1st stop near these silos and train track.....Mirrool free camping

Opposite the pub....great meals too....$10 power avail if needed and toilets 😀

Map of the area

Where we parked

Looking across to pub

Oh and I bought myself some of my loved blundstone while at Bright good aussie boot

Every year a chance to win the football kick over the silo 😃

Sunsetting and rail track

Neat of course I like 💖

Happy hour Friday night Carlton Dry

Thursday as we were leaving took these snaps of other parts of camp

Bins and the pub

Neat fire place where others enjoyed

Back on the road and Woody was happy

Very dry out here (Oz has had long drought)

Cattle being moved along by farmer

Careful 🤣🤣

Stopped for a coffee break here

Oh look another pub....this time in Armatree......yes free camping but very busy need to be early

And again railway track 😁😁

Beautiful sunset

And later.....we had another great meal and chatted with others

Took this pic in Coonamble nsw for my sis Lynn....she used to do these dolls 😃😃
Must add due to lack of  internett can't attach links to info on towns but google is your friend

On the road to Lightning Ridge so very dry.......

This road may look smooth but I can tell you it was not........hanging on to seat as we bounced along 🙄🙄🤔🤔

Last night we parked here and are going to do 2 nights here.....free rest area with a loo with no lock on door.....thank goodness we have our own
This bird statue is across the road and today we are going to check it out 😀

Yummy breakfast this morning....scramble egg and precooked sausage patty.....
So that is us for now.....enjoy life while you can xoxoxo 😃😃

  1. More fun travels with you two.. or is that three? I think it's so neat to be on the open road and doing what you feel like along the way. We took our trailer on a 5100 mile loop around the country some years ago. Great sunsets! ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
