Ormiston Gorge and other places

Hello out there.....after a few days no reception catching up posts to come....back on road Sunday to go stay 2 nights Ormiston Gorge

Plenty of walking and hope you enjoy the extra signs along this post

Stunning place

Went up to a look out for some pics......looking down to Finke River

We did not do the walk here

Amazing...this crator 140 million years ago.....

We took a drive there for closer look but got a bit rough so just pics from here

This was a great walk Monday morning

Love the mirror look

Plenty of greenery here

Sunlit Paul at Ormiston Gorge

Paul took the walk up to Ghost Tree lookout

Our Winnie is way down there

Great view

Ormiston Gorge from above

The walk back down

Back to our Winnie

And yes named after here

We also visited this gorgeous place

Ellery big hole selfie

Would be lovely swimming here

Little ducks loving

Beautiful spot

Where the chalet was built in 1958/1959

Guess they loved the rugged outback

Where many bottles and cans still lay from the old chalet days

Then on to here

Amazing colours

Nice pathway back

End of our time here
Yesterday....Tuesday we went back to Alice Springs for much needed washing of clothes and food shopping

But had time to visit Anzac Hill More info here

The view from up there

All around

Big place for sure

Woody was exhausted last night and ready for next part of trip back.....
On the slow road home but so many klms to go....
Love to all out there ❤❤🙋‍♂️🙋‍♀️😀😀

  1. Goodness.. what a lot you saw there.. you didn't swim? :-) That place looks hot.. was it? So, do you have to cover all the same places going back home or a new route with new things? You're my traveling heroes!
    ((hugs)), Teresa :-)
