Catching up with grandies etc

Hello, very warm here currently so not a lot of sock knitting happening but at least I am still working along ☺

Had a trip down and back to see my Mum and also caught up with one of my sons.....this is his meal of calamari which he shared with his little boy ♥

Yesterday I decided I needed to knock up a batch of cookies.....I do love this frog my oldest boy gave me and the egg cage behind ♥♥

Some Smarties type lollies included ☺

All baked roughly 28 in total......some are going to the baby shower on Sunday so I can give to my youngest son and his very expectant wifey ♥

Also other food and drink and will post about that next week ☺

And that Dry Dan is happy on our kitchen window ledge drinking.....Weather is going to be in the low 30's Celsius till Monday at least, so trying to keep cool with a bit of sewing.

We have a Xmas get together with our van group tomorrow (Saturday)....also bbq for the Man's work which we will just drop in for and a 50mile market which we might also have a look at.....

SSSSSS ah yes a snake.......last weekend we had the district and agricultural show for the Friday night and Saturday.....

I actually rode this ride "the zipper" when I was 17 only 41 years ago lol Surely this actual ride is not that old......

Ride prices are never cheap 

Plenty having fun going on the rides....it was just me and the man having a walk around and our charge for attending was our way of donating to the agricultural society ☺

Went on this one many years ago too, like a space ship and it does your head in lol

Look back at the rides again......it was a good weather night, so lucky for them all

There was even an inflatable shark slide.......

More spinning around, don't mind this one but no rides for us this year...taking a break lol 

I would probably be crazy enough to go on this one if my kids were here with me ♥♥

And a few token animals......We had a good walk from home to here and back again ☺

Look, Faygog had the throat surgery and we took him back to his Mum, my girl ♥

While we had a coffee Sunday noticed these cute salt and pepper shakers.....each table had different ones, but did not take photo's as did not want to look like some weirdo while others were at the tables lol.....next time maybe

Food and a quick train trip

Ah yes food is never far from my mind.....trying a bit of low carb eating here and lets see how I go.....smoked salmon, poached egg and tomato for breaky

We had a quick trip down and back again to visit Mum (Monday) and the weather was not great....ho hum, today it is even worse and it is suppose to be Autumn with warmer days.....

Now I bought this tiny pumpkin after Halloween and had never carved one so thought I would have a go.....

A bit shabby but hey that is how I roll.......

Also started something for a xmas pressie....

Finished a pair of fingerless mittens too 

Yesterday we took my car to have a service and they were keeping it overnight so we needed to catch the train back home....On the platform just checking the scenery

Here comes our train....one of those fast velocity types....apparently 140 klms+

And just look at us....we were happy but I could hardly see my phone so this was as good as I could take lol   

 

Last night (Wednesday) for fun I lit my little pumpkin up with a tea light candle....

Better late than never.....

And today (Thursday) I got on with finishing this road play blanket.....

Backed it with this neat fleecy ☺

And now it is all ready for birthday pressie giving.....

And also today look how happy we were this time on the train......much better lol 

I knitted my socks while he played Plants V Zombies on his mobile....
