A short trip away enjoying the sea views

Welcome back people!  We just had a short trip away and now back home again for now :D
Caught up with the man's oldest son and his lovely girlfriend but took no pictures whilst with them....
Our second place to visit was Warrnambool (and feel free to read all about this place here) which has fantastic walks around the beaches and cliffs. We walked over the bridge across the water

View back towards Merri river which flows into the sea

View back to the sea

There are so many wonderful places to walk and that, we certainly did plenty of....

Cute little penguins

A long distant shot towards one of the many islands which the birds and penguins love to nest

Zoomed in on these birds....

And anyone want a seagull or 2 ☺

This is an island you use to be able to walk over to at low tide, but they now have a gate to keep people out and I heard some barking and wondered why someone would be over there with dogs........

This is a distant shot back from those islands

Plenty of beautiful rock pools

This is a very rugged area of good old Australia in Victoria

Plenty of wild sea here

Zoom shot back over to that island where I heard the barking and notice the neat cave underneath ☺There is also something white on that walkway up the top of photo.....

This was a lovely sheltered part of this area but of course you would have to climb down some rather nasty cliffs but it looks beautiful

And look who was visiting this area too....yep a Cockatoo, amazing and it was shrieking out as they do often ☺

This is a distant shot of where that Cockatoo was sitting and you can just see a bit of white on that pointy bit of rock near the sea edge.....

Hello Cocky......that is what everyone says to them and it is quite common to hear them say this ☺

There was another Cockatoo on this rock and you can just see a part of its wing in bottom right corner as it flew off......

But look it came back for a photo lol

This is a shot back to where the car is parked.....

And this is a zoomed shot to the car park area.....

And yes there are 2 dogs over on that island and I found out why.....

How neat these special dogs guard this island

This is a shot back to where we had walked to......

Zoom shot back to how far we had walked, beautiful day with a lovely cool breeze ☺

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Warrnambool and yesterday on our drive back home stopped here London_Arch and info here of how it was called London Bridge prior to it's collapse in 1990...

We chose the Ocean road option of our trip home so we could stop at this area as it is truly wonderful to see.....

I am really please with how my photo's came out too ☺

Looking back out to sea from the Thunder cave

Thunder cave, where they used to have stairs all the way down so you could watch the sea roll in and splash high, but this has now been removed.....guess someone thought it was no longer safe....

Imagine sailing along near these cliffs!

There is a blow hole down there which you also can no longer get close enough to take a picture....this was as good as I could get.....

As we drove on it was real misty in this section caused by the sea

The views along the road

It was great to have this little trip and get in some good walking too...now we are back home with the weather HOT again....and air conditioner on...

Back to see the little sunflower now open....

And that giant one open too, forgive the shiny photo.....

A bee was having a lovely time on the giant flower ☺

And the little one has a lovely face too ☺

Look started another pair of socks

Finished the mittens and scarf for Mum

I think she will be very happy with this present ☺

And the Sophie CAL is going along nicely....I am a bit behind as have just finished part 4 and they are now on to part 6...but that is okay at least I am doing something ☺☺
Ta ta for now and thank you again for coming to visit
xoxoxoxo
