On the road to Tumbarumba

Hello again......boy I am sure having to remember what we did and where we went on this trip lol
Anyway......we decided next place to visit was Tumbarumba as they had some free camping spots.....and here is a little map showing the scheme and it consists of 16 major dams, 7 power stations, a pumping station and 225 klm's of tunnels, pipelines and aqueducts that were constructed between 1949 and 1974.......

We called in at this Museum in Cooma after we had a great lunch in the local pub.......correctiveservicesinfo

We were way up and the weather was a bit cooler ☺☺ Mt Kosciusko is located on the main range of Snowy mountains..... /kosciuszko-national-park

These trees see a lot of snow

It was lovely and sunny with temperatures in the high 20's and heading for high 30's down in the valley........

Can you imagine cycling around these mountains.........fit as

Looking back to the power lines in the distance.......

So high up and the lines drop straight down........

Waiting to let brakes cool on the car........lots of breaking on very steep road down.......

Heading off again.......towards Tumbarumba other info here

We even came across wild horses.......they roam this area and there was a sign but we past it before I could take a pic......

See them hiding in the trees......they were crossing the road and we also saw a wild deer, very fast and an echidna too

Heading down to the look out over the falls.....

Paddy's falls......nothing like your Mt Hood fall Teresa falls and Gracie  lol

But still pretty neat ☺☺

We parked in the town of Tumbarumba which had a free camping spot for self contained so thought why not......We could see the local pub ahead.....

The local police station opposite.....

Even toilets near by if needed.....

View from our Winie.......we had tea at the middle pub and meals were great......also shopped at the supermarket and filled up with fuel too.....helps the towns a lot......
Okay only a few more posts to go of this trip......I feel tired now lol
take care out there xoxo
