Hello and as you can see this is our trip on this......Plenty of pictures and hope you enjoy
We had booked last year and did Gold Leaf which has you in the double decker carriage
Woody was very happy with his view out
A bit of a view from our seats
Another spot for Woody to hang around lol
Plenty of viewing for all
Bit of fun with Woody's Shadow
You go down stairs for Breakfast and Lunch and on the first day we had the early seatings....swap over following day to later times
Ready for our Breakfast selfie
Fraser River along the way....well along the way for ages lol
Then we followed along the Thompson River
Way up high and loving the views down
Views down the the passing traffic
Some tunnels on the other side track
Woody sure had a great time
Plenty of river snapping for sure lol
We saw many waterfalls
More track on the other side......we crossed over too so sometimes one side of the rivers and then the other later on....
Here comes a freight train......we saw so many and because I love trains I was very happy lol
Stunning scenery for sure
We arrived in Kamloops for our overnight stop and were welcomed by some local rangers
Woody was glad to have a large bed to sleep in after a busy day
Next morning we were welcomed to this sight......no back carriage and so we were the last carriage.....and can you see viewing platform at the back bottom section!!!!! HAPPY
Second morning selfie
Watched a beautiful sunrise
Looking out the back of the train
And down the side view
Still going along with the Thompson River
Standing out the back in the cool
Look how happy I was
Not much I can say but enjoy the scenery
Skillet breakfast we had on our 2nd morning
Yes another freight train going by and beautiful mountain in the distance
Clear clear water too
A bit smokey but that was due to fires and apparently the week before people could see nothing but smoke ......
Columbia River
Beautiful
Round house of a local rail park
We had some nice little nibbles while the others had early lunch
Could imagine a beaver living here lol
Old Scottish bridge now not used but has gorgeous waterfall under it
The concrete you can see is Avalanche protectors for the railway tracks.......there are many of them along here
The engines snaking along ahead
Going through a long tunnel
Dark and chilly lol
We think this is Kim Basket Lake.....hard to remember lol
Freight train coming lol
And there it goes.....I actually filmed one.....4.15mins.....
Snow up on the mountains
More waterways we can't remember but oh so pretty
Snow up on this peak
The mountains sure got bigger the further we went
A cookie they gave us at the end
And how are these awesome looking mountains
We kept looking for animals and did see.....Big Horn Sheep, Deers and lots of Osprey but no pics
Another freight as I was taking this pic
Getting closer to Banff
Plenty waved as we went past all along this trip
And ended in Banff to stay for 2 nights
Goodbye Rocky......fantastic trip and highly recommend to anyone and so glad we have been able to do this trip
View from our gorgeous hotel in Banff......more on that soon
Love to you all out there xoxoxo
