Well it has been a while since I last posted and this one is going to be quite lengthy as want it as a single post. As you can see Woody is happy with Annie who I am still working on....slow process.
And as I told you last time we had Uncle Gordon coming for a visit ♥♥
He is from the UK but was having a holiday in Bangkok so came via there and flight stop at Sydney too. He saw only the airport with plenty of walking.
Here he is with me on a tram outing ♥
Chatting with Paul in the city (Melbourne)
He got to see the Yarra River many times
Sneaky mirror snap at a restaurant....bit blurry
Warm weather so we were all in shorts. Here on the footbridge opposite our city pad building
We even had a little bit of rain
Under the tram shelter waiting together
Paul's boy Brenton came to visit ♥
Again waiting for a tram.....the plan was a ferry ride to a town we had never visited ☺☺
Our boat coming to collect us
On board and up the back selfie lol
The helicopters flew over too
Hats on ready.....going up the Yarra in another direction to pick up others
Great day for it
Going under one of many bridges to pick up
Then on our planned journey we went past the aquarium
And those helicopters getting ready
Our little building in the distance
Of away from the city we went
Going under the Westgate bridge
Arrived at the town of Williamstown more information here
We had lunch at this pub
Old water drinking fountain
A snap of some of the town
And boy are there heaps of boats
And a small zoom shot you can just see 2 cruise ships
Back on the boat and looking towards Port Melbourne and those ships....as you know, we have been on a few cruises
We had this large cargo ship cruise on by
After cruise we then caught another tram to visit Port Melbourne to check out the ships....while there we had a drink....and this is quite eery....my beer had the date 10th Sept....Pauls was August. My younger brother did volunteer work at the beach here and his ashes are also scattered here and this date was his birthday.....rather special drink I feel ♥♥
The ships at Dock
Gordon enjoyed this outing
Port Melbourne Beach
and looking the other way
Paul and Gordon had many chat sessions at night
On Friday 8th March we took a road trip around the bay
Looking out over towards Melbourne so far away
Gordon took many snaps
We ended up at Queenscliff
To catch the Ferry to the other side Queenscliff to Sorrento
Selfie on board
Paul enjoying coffee ♥
On way back to city we drove up to here Plenty of more info here
Back in the city with a look at Melbourne all lit up
Looking other way from the footbridge
And look......can you just see Woody sitting with Gordon ☺☺ Poor Woody did not feature this time lol
On the Saturday we had Moomba celebrations happening all the info here
A bit of water boarding
Many rides setup
Gordon was interested in going to Marvel Stadium and there just happened to be an AFL girls league game happening.....and FREE Look at Grumpy Paul lol
That night Paul and I had a walk in the evening to check this setup.....expensive ride
Grand Prix enthusiasts
Looking back along the Yarra and then the flames lit up
On Sunday Morning we visited the South Melbourne market and I enjoyed this lovely herbal tea
Waiting to cross the road to catch yes another tram lol
On Sunday arvo we all went in the car to go to our country place
Plenty of smoke around.....and still is today 20th March
Still about 8 fires burning but being managed by our wonderful Fire People
We stopped at Loy Lang where Paul used to work and yes smokey
In the shade out of the sun, it was another warm day
On one of our other days out we came across this echidna
Was not keen to show its face but at least it was now off the road
Gordon enjoyed the views of the Valley region near where we sometimes live
On Tuesday we took another drive, this time to a lovely town called Walhalla more info here
They have been affected by fires in the past and very recently threatened
We had rain too and it was cold......but still fun out
Paul took us on a so called 200 metre walk to a lookout
Many stairs down.....as Gordon said "I have never been to a lookout where you climb down" lol I agree
The closer look out was not so great and you just looked at trees lol
Paul went to the further down lookout and took a snap or 2
It sure was windy
Anyway moving along.....on Wednesday Paul drove us to Cowes where we would be spending 2 nights
Stopped here at Kilcunda again more infor here
We ate at the local pub and boy was it freezing inside....we wore our coats lol
While at Cowes we visited the Koala park
Yes as usual they have their backs to you
Yep again
Wallaby at least able to see
But this Koala sat facing but the sun behind made it hard to take a decent pic
We also went out for the night to see the penguins, but no photos allowed at the parade
Always love seeing the sea
We also went to Churchill Island churchill-island-heritage-farm/ and saw shearing of a sheep
My sis Jule and Carl joined us
Gordon snapping a pic while I snap him
Julia and her Chris
Loved seeing these ducks
There was whip cracking demonstration
A sheep dog doing some fun rounding up of the sheep
We also stopped at this gorgeous surf area... woolamai-surf-beach/
Lovely spot
Now on Thursday night we had a sunset cruise to enjoy
Out with this lot
I had fun taking many snaps
Oh dear that girl and her poking tongue
Yay
Was only a few on board so easy to get around
We past many boats
And even went past a submarine
HMAS OTAMA INFO HERE
The sun was setting
Got this neat snap with seagull
Lovely evening and goodbye to our boat
Back at the accommodation relaxing to be ready to head off in the morning
Now back in the city we were.....ready for this
Hello everyone
Beautiful day with a Hornet F18 flying......that dot in the sky......My movie is more sound than sight lol
And on Sunday we did our last selfie and said goodbye to Gordon sniff sniff.......
Off he goes.....and the poor man had hours of waiting due to delayed flight.....one of many and did not end up in Bangkok. But at Singapore for a night due to missed connection flight caused by airline.....He as I type this is now on his final flight back home after being in different countries over 4 days....
The fire brigade attended a non event across the road thank fully
And that Hornet came back......this was all for the Grand Prix event happening
And suddenly noticed this massive plane
Nice flyover and huge
On Tuesday (yesterday) we drove back home just us.......
