This and That and a steam train coming my way toot toot.

Do you remember in my post of market-at-west-end when I bought some Olive leaves to brew for a herbal cup of tea?  Well still drinking this and will get some more when I run out. Don't know if I am seeing the health benefits, but let me say it does not taste like Olives just Herby if that makes sense. And here is the link again if you want to check it out olive-leaf-tea. I make up a large plunger full with 2 small handfuls of the dry leaves and leave till cool and then just add hot water to mug/cup I am using with part of the mix. My crochet warmer keeps it nice too ☺
Here is one of my favourite quick lunches or tea if the man is on night shift. Good old 2min noodles (the low fat chicken type), with the flavour sachet, some water and a few prawns (frozen/raw) and a cook to boil then yummy to eat. I also throw a bit of parsley on for the iron and maybe a little grated cheese. This time I used Chilli and Paprika club cheese which we bought while on that fun van trip recently, you know the one where we got STUCK. lol.  Nice cheese from southcoastcheese in NSW Bodalla and Tilba.
Yes, here is the Granny Stripe again folded in half as about single bed width and still growing slowly.

Oh dear I really need to get on with these ends again.
I have a bit of excitement this Sunday as 2, yes 2, steam trains (double headers) are coming here for a snow trip for those down Melbourne way steamrail. So be ready for lots of pics as I am CRAZY about Steamtrains and even hearing the whistle can make me a bit tearful, weird I know, must be some past life thing.  Anyway I have a ticket to get the bus from home/station to meet it at another station 2 towns away, then travel back on the train, whoopee for me.
Hope you are all well and happy ☺♥

  3. Hi Wendy/batwing!

I love your granny stripe, it actually "glows"!

I see you have a love of steam trains. I remember as a kid catching the steam train from Sydney to Glen Innes for family holidays. We used to get a "sleeper" carriage. Now THAT is a long time ago!

  5. Your noodles and prawns looking AMAZING! The noodles look similar to the cup-o-noodles here in the states. So I could technically try to make this. MmMmmmmm..... :)
