Got the sewing bug ☺

Hello again my friends and family
I have recently felt like getting back into a bit more sewing and have lots of interesting material

A dear friend's daughter had a baby last Friday so thought I could make a hat and a bib to give to her to pass on ☺

Chose my pattern yesterday which can be found on the fleecefun.com

While looking through my sewing supplies I came across this totally unwound hemming tap....ugh

Manually wrapped it up again and don't want to have to do that again......

Now this material was just me testing the pattern, but who knows some lucky baby may get this hat lol

After sewing I decided to do another in black to make this hat reversible

Cut it out

Folded in half and sewed the slanted edge

Then sewed from one side of the hat to the other

2 hats,now to join them

I sewed them right sides together and left a gap so I could then turn it right way around

Put the black inside the skull hat and stitched around the edge

All complete and pretty happy, can have the black edge showing or

Edge straight down, very happy with this ☺

And look! The king parrots are back.....so colourful and they love this little tree in the yard just the same as the Jay does....this is the boy

There is the girl, she looks a bit scared, but I did just use my zoom not wanting to disturb them

Eating plenty

There were three pairs ☺

And today I completed this cute bib

With towelling on the back and baby can wear it either side, fully reversible

Oh and this is for me to wear to bed....I added some purple sleeves to this loved t-shirt so I can be warm at night

Just sewed a longer sleeve and zig zagged it all together

And here is the cat hat....they barrack for a team called Geelong and also know as the cat's so think they will like this lol

The back of the cat has a different cat and lined this with some stretching black velvet

I also made this little bag to put the bib and hat in instead of wrapping paper
Make it easy to hand to my friend this Friday ☺

And I even whipped up a pair of pyjamas pants for me......

And look it is cute birds, not skulls or bats .........
Hope you enjoyed seeing my bit of sewing and it is a good reminder for me to look back when I make more of the items.
take care and see you again soon xoxo

Last day of Queenstown and now back home

Our last day in Queenstown last Thursday and another magnificent day. We decided to drive up one of the mountains and look over the airport, see the runway in the middle of the photo.....

Zoomed in a little and you can a plane travelling down the runway

There it is ready for take off and much larger than it seems in my pictures. It was amazing to watch from above ☺  We also saw another come in to land, awesome fun.

Next morning waiting to board our plane for home Air New Zealand

Loading the meals

Of course fuel is VERY important.......

In our seats again near the wing

Goodbye Queenstown, we had a fabulous time

The lake below amongst the beautiful mountains

Last sight of snow capped mountains

My choice of music for take off and landing this time ☺

Hello Australia, Victoria.......We landed safely and stayed the night at an airport motel as we were going to Melbourne city to Dracula's a theatre restaurant ♥ I received some sad news on landing too from my youngest boy. His fiance's dear dog Roxy had got ill and died she was a gorgeous black Labrador.

Goodbye to a dear family friend.......
It is never easy and such a sad time as we love our pets as they are family ☺
We loved having her come to visit here too

They also have 2 guinea pigs and a rabbit and this interesting fellow Max. He is a Maine Coon and has lovely soft fur. We called in after our night at Dracula's and on the road home xoxo

We had a LOT of mail to collect and look my Julian Clary tickets have arrived. Looking forward to a night of laughs ☺☺

Last night the man's girl came for a visit and yes there is that ever loving tongue poking out lol
The weather here has turned real hot which is incredible as really summer should have well and truly moved on......How is it where you are.
Take care and thanks again for dropping in xoxo ♥

More fun catchups and time.......

Well do you remember in my last post we visited the Red rattler gallery but was closed? We went back a few days ago and here are the carriages.....toot toot

Stairs or ramp up  into the first carriage

So many different things there and look.....Mr Squiggle lol

Some lovely pottery, the mugs were $9 mighty tempted to get a purple one!

In the other carriage you can have your coffee/tea many types and cake. We opted for coffee (the man) and I had raspberry leaf tea, which really tastes just like regular tea but no caffeine and some health extras ☺

Always to power man lol

We caught up with my longest friend and noticed this sign. My mum's name is Betty so will show her this when I get back home ♥

We stayed with my sis and bro for a couple of nights and went on the City Cat ferry.

Another incredible day, it really is warm up in this part of Oz, Queensland.

I sent a txt to my dear friend to let her know we were coming past!

And look with that great canon zoom there she is checking her phone with her hubby lol

Hello my dear friends!! We waved a lot but of course no pictures of that, I was too busy waving lol
Here is my sister's dog Milo again. Love that little dog ♥

He had a bath on the day we were leaving ☺

He was not all that keen.......

But he looks pretty relaxed here ☺
We said goodbye but will catch up again while we are waiting for our 5th wheeler.
The man has gone off this morning to do a bit of work with the Lithium battery linkup and leave our car so the hitch can be installed in the back of the Ute and probably find out when we will be ready to collect the rig. Hopefully by Friday.
Take care out there and love to you all xoxo
Also thank you for the comments, really give me a smile.
☺☺♥♥
