Back in the city

Well hello and may you have enjoyed Xmas time

This post is of Xmas Eve  Xmas day and Sunday Monday

I took this snap of myself walking back to our city pad after seeing one of my boys

He sent me this pic of him on his balcony 😀😀

Paul and I enjoyed a walk around the city and near The Yarra river 

Saw this neat Santa boat 

And many rides at the carnival (about to end)

We checked out the Myer windows.......yep closed

They now end on Xmas Eve lol

But we enjoyed the Town Hall 

Xmas night we enjoyed a non pasta ham Carbonara 

Delicious 

And Pudding Icecream Cream Choc pudding 

On Sunday we went out for lunch and enjoyed Ploughmans Platter at Charles Dickens pub 

We now have a laundromat down stairs

We have a washing machine but handy using the dryers here 

I made a batch of Honey crackles 

Lemon Chia pudding 

And more Flapjacks for future visitors 

And on Monday we checked Crown Casino Xmas decorations 

Pretty neat and know grandies will like 

One of the walk bridges has this display 

And if you zoom you will see a kormorant 

We also took a random tram ride to here.....then train back

Zoo and Xmas lights

Hello again.....just look at this relaxing Baboon......On Saturday while still in the city we decided to visit the zoo.....Year members and only been twice lol  All the Baboons were sleeping just like this one

Lemurs all relaxing together trying to keep warm 

They refused to look my way.....

Pelicans free to come and go, but reckon they would like staying just for the feeding times lol 

Notice how most animals are way off  trying to hide 

3 lions here which are only 2 years old 

We had a good walk around and then caught the tram back 

And dropped into Crown Casino and a photo of their xmas tree, exactly the same as last year 

And their xmas light show which is on every 30 minutes, lots of carols being sung 

We then caught another tram to Port Melbourne where the ships depart from.....My cousin Lisa and her girls and grandgirls were on this ship.....3 day fun cruise ☺☺

Woody relaxed back at the apartment Saturday night 

Sunday we drove home and took a snap of a park called Gumbya World which is about to re-open December 18 more details here was just an animal park with toboggan ride but now so much more....

Back home relaxing again with Downton Abbey

New years eve fun and beyond

Hello again, here we are in the big smoke checking out where some of the fireworks were going to be near us......simple selfie looking back ☺

The television people were rehearsing HOURS before but was fun to watch....the young guy used to be our sport guy for Gippsland news but moved on the the big smoke with Channel 7 his name is Sean Sowerby ☺

Certainly looked like they were having fun lol 

Hours later getting ready for the real fireworks to begin.......

and they were impressive although my mobile can be a bit testy lol

We then walked back to our city joint to relax after midnight ♥

Next day we thought why not do the tourist thing and visit the Melbourne Zoo, so we caught a tram 

I did not take many pics of other animals but we are now members so can go back again and again for better snaps....monkeys here

We then took the train back into the city......

and did this tour.......

Padded cell which has footprints going up the walls......interesting

drain hole so they could put any drunks in here and hose them down and LOCK the door.....

Main part where we had a pretend arrest of some of us.....me being one of them

Looking back through main area and there were plenty of us doing this tour

Creepy but also very interesting at the same time, normally no roofing so open to the hot days and freezing cold winters.....

Oh yes and apparently I was arrested for growing suspicious drugs and because of my T-Shirt guard said I was off the planet and out of this world lol  

a bit of fun......

and later we went to Crown which is a casino in Melbourne and checked out their Xmas display which was real neat

little eggs opened up with a different song in each egg.....Jingle bells here 

There was Frosty the snowman too next time will get better pics.....ended that day so wait till next year lol 

and this is a little plant Sarah gave me for Xmas and is staying in the city and already has a new leaf growing ♥
