Steam and kiddos

Hello out there.....my crappy pic of the full moon on Friday, but I still like 

We went out for tea and I snapped these little flowers I like but can't remember what they are called. Does anyone out there know??

Anyway, Saturday  (yesterday)  had me standing on the footbridge in our town waiting....lovely day for it too

And here they come

Slowing up to head past to the station 

So much soot and R761 was right behind the other engine 

Those of you who follow me know this is the annual SNOWTRAIN by steamrail.....and is next Sunday too but I will be in the city so may not see them.....maybe 

Our station here has a turntable so they were turning the engines around 

ssssssss

R761 R711 both turned ready for the return trip later 

I was waiting to pick up Brenton and this is his train just arriving next to steam carriages and steam in the background.......

So Brenton, Ray and Cooper came for the day 

Frank and Riley (a bit shy) also

Riley unfortunately snapped him while coughing 

These cousins had lots of fun 

Back to the footbridge we went after 4.30 and just look at little Cooper ready for train fun 

Riley too, but got a little scared last year so keeping Dad close ♥♥

One of the diesel v/line trains....toot toot.....Cooper loved this 

And about to have steam come on through 

Hope you enjoyed this video....Riley and Cooper loved this but kept a bit further away than Granny who ended up with plenty of soot in her hair lol

A bit of sewing and getting ready

Hey has anyone tried these noodles?? Bought them the other week and wonder what they will be like....definitely low carb so will be interesting...we have been getting ourselves ready for the up coming trip but also catching up on other things ☺

made these little pants for Cooper, hope they fit lol 

and these cute ones for April, they are made from warm fuzzy fleece.....needed here at the moment 

my label which really is to just show which is the back.....

Woody is getting ready and excited about our future trip 😁😁😁

we have had hideous weather with lots of rain, much needed but oh boy cold

made us some nice chicken/cheese stuffed avocado for lunch the other day 

and on with watching "call the Midwife" and my hooking too....now tomorrow Saturday 29th August we have most of the family coming for a bbq type lunch and at this time of year "The Snow Train" comes......so I am a bit happy lol 

last year it was like this!!!! 😖😖😖 freezing with lots of hail too lol 

But it can be worth seeing this......so tomorrow they are saying NO rain and warmer day of at least 20 Celsius so sounds good, wish us luck lol

Another steam day fun ☺

Hello my family and friends again it has been a little while since last post......

And I think you may guess what is about to happen here ☺

Toot Toot, yes the yearly steam train coming right into the town I live ♥

Now these next few photo's are really not great as someone thought they could stay ON the track as the double steam trains approached......

I am actually zooming a bit here but you get the picture......

And right here is a great example of what you should NEVER do......shame could really wreck it all for everyone else.....dangerous behaviour 

But here they come, R711 and R761

And there they go into our local station for the day

This trip comes from Melbourne brochures details here to give others a chance to ride in a steam train and also visit the snow at Mt Baw Baw, also local wineries and other places in the area's along the way.

It is a full days outing and one day I will catch that train back in to Melbourne and maybe the man and I can have a night in the city ☺☺ 2 hour trip for us.

SSSSSSSSS......was a good day

And I am ever so slowly working on this crochet play mat, along with many other projects...
