Catching up time

Another year is flying by......a fresh batch of Cauliflower rice which we enjoy quite often and is much nicer than you would think ☺

We headed to the city again and this time to break up the journey we stopped at a little Cafe in a town called Yarragon......sticcado cafe and is low carb friendly and gluten free on may items too

Humpty was on the couch next to me and they said for a change he had not fallen down lol 

and a gingerbread man sitting on a donut ☺

Everyone seems to have this Himalayan salt must get me some...

Forgot to take pics of our little meal but was some very tasty meat and chicken meatballs ☺

and looks like all we do is eat, but that night decided to visit a Chinese restaurant near city place which is a short tram ride or a healthy walk.....had crispy chicken and and vegies too 

on our walk back that night (still light as daylight savings) thought my brother and bro in law would like this boat for going fishing lol 

There is also some basketball/netball rings at a park near us, my boys would love 

a bit of granny crochet to chill out 

liking this square and will make bigger till run out of this wool ☺

the following night on Friday we had these great friends who go way back.....only pic we took but a good one of us all......love you dear friends ♥♥

They brought this bottle of Pinot Noir and love the label "the squealing pig" 

We then came back home on Saturday and had my girl and her two boys come to stay and took not one photo.....we were having too much fun chatting and laughing ♥♥

Yesterday we took a drive down and back to catch up with my boy Frank who had his 35th birthday on Sunday and I did this to his face when he was 4 as his older siblings had a fancy dress day at school and he wanted to join in the fun lol 

we met up with Misty who enjoyed a pizza 

and little Riley with his Dad who enjoyed Calamari

and this star blanket I have completed and gifted to my son Ray and Lauren whom seem to like....now waiting in the new nursery at their home.

Today we had the dentist and I was all clear thank goodness....Paul had a filling with another to happen in 2 mths......eek

Just an hello

Hello my family and friends.....had a break to recover from my marathon blogging lol

This is a new little flower for my car ☺

Happy in the carport ready for next outing.....

While going through my Mum and Dad's things I came across this old magazine....August 1977

This obviously was the gas supplier before everything got privatized to varying companies 

And look here is me 20 and would you believe already married!! and my now ex next to me...and my dear younger brother Andy (no longer with us) who was 16 holding his clarinet and my Dad 54 and Mum 52....I am older than them now as they were in this pic....they appeared in that magazine because....

Very proud of what my dear Dad achieved and miss him ♥

Anyway here is a neat lit up sign in one of the restaurants in our town......got to love this ☺☺

still hooking on and waiting for more of Outlander to come on television....way behind only on season 1 lol 

and this low carb thing is really paying off....so much slimmer and having to buy smaller jeans ☺☺

We dropped in today to that little cafe we like to have a coffee at and sat at the bee table this time....so many cute salt and pepper shakers

Minding April and bear repair

Well the year is sure flying by yet again......hello, and just look at this dog.....Trixie whom I had the fun of minding with baby April for a few hours at least over a week ago ☺☺

And this gorgeous Miss April looks like she is poking her tongue out at Granny lol 

She did give me a sweet smile though ♥♥ and this was while I did a bit of ironing for her Mum and Dad while they had a break out for lunch and a movie ☺

A lovely big yawn, and not because I was boring her lol 

And don't you reckon Trixie is almost looking like "what you looking at....this is my couch" lol

I had a lovely time with them and also cat Max who is a bit more elusive to photo's ☺ I will

do more too, but currently my Mum is not so good so have been doing many visits there ♥

In the meantime, back at home and did a bit of bear mending for my girl's partner's old Mr Bear......quite therapeutic doing some hand sewing/mending for a change ☺

And look! Not quite, but almost, as good as new for one who is way over 30yrs old lol and he can see again with these button eyes ♥

He is now strapped in my car ready for when I go to visit my Mum on Thursday (her 91st birthday) and pass back to my girl when I also get to see her ☺☺

Life sure can be interesting at times and we do what we can where we can.....

Twins and other things

Hello my friends, aren't these babies cute.....some of you will have seen them on facebook

They belong to my nephew and wife so I am a great aunt again to 2 baby girls ☺☺

And the mum and dad were very delighted with them

They have 2 other children so now parents to 4 under 5 ☺☺

We had breakfast in a neat cafe on Monday while car was getting serviced  and noted this interesting light.....

it is made up of lots of little body figures, neat eh.....

We had coffee and drank plenty of water....and speaking of water you should have see the rain!

Cannot really notice in this picture but it was wild wind and HEAPS of rain.....

And as you can see the drive back was not fun and the wipers were going flat out.......

Oh and the man had a bit of a trim on his hair ☺☺

This is a breakfast I had last week at a local cafe of 2 poached eggs with potato rosti and pumpkin and toast, very very nice and highly recommend 3 little birds cafe to anyone who lives local to us......

The man had a toasted ham/tomato, cheese with a poached egg on top...

Today the rain has eased a little but boy that wind is crazy crazy.......

Just lucky our sheets and doona cover have not ended up at the neighbors lol 

My boy and his lovely wife are on their honeymoon over in California and look forward to hearing/seeing all about it...
