Bathroom finished, birthday family visit and Mum

Hello there, here is how the bathroom looked before that renovation......we were happy with it, but oh my what a change now......

Extra loo and shower

Large bath which I am yet to soak in, but my 2nd grandson has and said it was awesome

The basin and shaving cabinet....thank you for watching this in progress and now finished ☺

I arrived back home on Saturday to this wonderful rainbow rose which the man bought me as a surprise and birthday too ☺☺

They apparently split the stem and put each part in food colour dye and leave for a day or 2 till the petals look like this ☺

Pretty neat and did make me happy as was needed......

Also on Saturday these 2 came for a visit and tea, how cute are they ☺

It is Trixie, the new puppy for my son and his wife ♥

A bit of fun wrestling went on.....

She even has been trained to roll over but that ended in a big blur......

It was real nice to have them visit as things are not that great at the moment, so have been typing this over the last week.....

I am putting this rainbow rose here again for my mum who was admitted to hospital last Friday and not doing real well.....but do know she would love this rose ♥

And I am going to have a long soak in that bath tonight ready for the next few days

The good and the bad......fun times

Hello friends and family ☺ Do you own a crock pot (slow cooker)? I have had this little beauty since I was married way back in 1977 either engagement present or wedding present so roughly 37 yrs old! And it still works although the marriage didn't lol  but as said before we get on fine....hope I don't moz myself and it......this was the GOOD ☺and this was on Easter Monday

I love making some real tasty soups in it and this one was a lovely lentil veg one and enjoyed it for breakfast over a few days ☺ Yes I can eat soup for breakfast, love having anything different in the mornings.....Going to be making a great Indian chicken dish for when family come on Saturday. I had my birthday yesterday (Tuesday) and is the same day as my girl; who I had on my 21st way back in 1978 lol.  And we are getting together here at my home ☺☺ and will use that crock pot for that dish.

Back on to the bathroom....while I did that cooking the man continued on with putting up laminate trims in a nice grey....

I helped by ripping off the plastic off that lovely big bath......and in the mean time!

This was discovered.....a LEAK from 2 pipes, inside the brand new basin cabinet.......so the man removed the basin cabinet and took it outside....it was water damaged! In this picture you can see a little heater trying to dry out the floor and wall.....this was the BAD 

One of the dripping pipes with piping and taps removed.....and this was with the water turned off at the mains.....

Just a token amount of water which was collected over the day and of course being Easter Monday a holiday so the plumber was away......grrrrrr 

The poor cabinet.....

It had heaps of mould growing too as we worked out the leak had been for a WEEK.....and hidden because inside the cabinet.....

So yesterday, Tuesday that young plumber came back and repaired the pipes and made sure to fit another brand new basin cabinet ☺☺ That is his coffee cup on our air con unit and he did do a good job and very apologetic.....

And for now we are keeping some paper towel in the cabinet just to make sure all ok......

We went out for tea for my birthday to a local bowling club and had a nice relaxing time after this event lol, even caught a taxi so we could have a little red wine or three ☺☺

The man today (Wednesday) now back to continuing on finishing little bits here and there.....

Lovely big mirrored shaving cupboard all installed, clever man I have ☺☺

And in between this fun time week I worked on my Sophie blanket, I think it calmed me down lol lol

Visitor, full moon and bathroom update

Well hello to the man's youngest boy.....he came for an overnight visit which was real nice ☺ He was quite impressed with the bathroom renovation too 

He was apparently happy to see his boy ☺

Noticed the moon was looking pretty full and you know me.....I love a good full moon ☺

Pretty neat and do like how my canon camera does pretty good photo's 

Last night (Saturday) was a blood moon so did my best, but this was as good as I could get.....

The window was getting put in here and even I helped to lift it up to install 

There is that massive shower head....

With the man's hand to show the size of this thing

After his shower, better than putting a snap on here of him in the shower naked lol 

We have the fixed shower head as well as the hose yourself type and it is fantastic!

We now have the door put on, so don't feel so exposed lol 

Just need to do the laminate around the basin and shower and put cupboard doors back on as well as the mirrored shaving cabinet which will have a power point inside it, you can see the red on the wall....that is where the power point will be

So far we are pretty happy with it and will be good once the floor guy comes back to finish too

Well hello there.....yes here is that youngest grand boy of mine Riley ☺ he likes cookie but not so keen on me lol 

And just look at this face lol, honestly she was very happy while visiting but just did not want to smile for this pic ☺

Nor the man either....but yes he was happy....don't you love my fake black rose in front of him and the wind chimes in the background

The only photo of me with this guy as he was shaking his head NO lol.....I hope he likes me soon because at the end of May he is going to be staying with us for A WEEK!!! Misty too ☺☺

I made a large focaccia  bread and the adults loved it, so will definitely make more of this for any visitors here...we had a simple bbq snag/salad/smoke chicken leg lunch...I even baked some M&M type cookies....

We decided to take a walk down town to our local park which has some great equipment for all ages to play on....I forgot my camera so thank goodness that man of mine had his phone to snap some pictures ☺ This park is roughly a good 1 klm walk and is called Newman park

That little guy LOVES batman and sure likes wearing batman clothes and running a LOT 

There he is running ahead of his dad on the walk back which does include that hill climb.....

Mum and daughter strolling back up, it was a great day with perfect weather too ☺

Always fun to have visitors for the day

And back to that bathroom renovation....the man did a bit of floor work where the basin was going to be installed....

And now getting closer to being completed and you can now see that neat shower....you know, just like "beam me up scotty" of star trek lol 

Will be great to eventually have a good long soak in this wonderful bath

And look finally the window arrived today (Thursday) 

And the man will install it right here ☺

We also have one of those neat heater/fan/lights also a separate fan near the bath area 

A nice large shaving cabinet to be installed above the basin....at the moment we would be a good ad for  Bunnings which is a store here in Oz and NZ of household hardware chain....and this is where we have bought most of our stuff ☺☺

And that good man has been doing the painting, just simple white, but even that has HEAPS of choices....this picture makes the bathroom look way bigger than it is ☺

Looking great and we are going to have grey laminate around the top part of basin and around the bath.....oh and the floor preparation was done yesterday before our visitors arrived and not able to walk in here for 6+ hours and floor guy was suppose to arrive today to install the vinyl, but nope....rang them and not coming but some time next week....oh well, I can at least tell you I can now have a shower in the house again ☺☺ and just look at the size of that shower head...will get a closer picture later ☺
