More crazy sewing and a little crochet

Hello again ☺ Got another bug at the moment of making more of these challenge mitts by the wonderful Sharon and if you click on the link and page down and look to the right you will find the free pattern pdf form ☺

I am also making a cowl (scarf joined to wear on neck) for someone who is heading off to the UK.....lucky Missy ☺

Thought I would add something to an old top to give me a pajama top to wear.

This heat bond is great stuff and not really meant to sew after putting on but I left room around the sides as you can see in picture where I am ironing it on.

Sought of alien skull type material, which I made one of my sister pajama pants I think 2yrs ago for her birthday ☺

Came across this fabric which I made my 3 boys shorts roughly 28yrs ago, youngest is now almost 30! 

Good grief lol 

Thought little Mr Riley may just like a pair of pants, he will be 2 in November, where has that time gone........

Now I either need to see him to give them to him ☺

Are you having a good weekend?  The weather is surprisingly warm here (heading into winter) and again I am wearing a t-shirt.....incredible

Queenstown, Arrowtown and lots of walking

Yes back again a bit sooner than I have been lately ☺ Queenstown was originally home to only a few adventurous settlers in the 1860's but is a busy town. Inspired by it's rugged mountain peaks and the giant Lake Wakatipu.

On our walk after arriving we saw this interesting attraction. Still unsure if we are going to go inside and see how scary it is.......

The view late yesterday from our lounge, lovely and can just see the lake at the bottom of the mountain.

We also enjoyed having breakfast out on the balcony, omelet with lots of veggies thrown in.

Some more challenge mittens by laughingpurplegoldfish free pattern available there. These are for a lady in the caravan group we are members of and she requested PINK as her favourite colour, even in her hair ☺

We bought ourselves 2 Frisbee's as in the Queenstown gardens park there is a 18 hole course for Frisbee's lol And I must say after throwing (quite badly) and having to retrieve from all over the place it was one hell of an exercising time for us both lol but great fun ☺☺

Today we went to Arrowtown a quaint old gold-mining town of the 1860's

A double decker bus can take you on a 30min trip around for $20. We have been here before so just walked around instead. 

Beautiful mountains again

The main street which has many shops, cafes etc all old buildings.

And yes plenty of steep streets for us to walk up........ 

We had quite a good morning here and weather again was beautiful.... Then headed back to Queenstown

Walked downtown to have lunch at this place ☺

Enjoyed a couple of Ales, Speights was founded by James Speight, Charles Greenslade, and William Dawson. Speight's was first brewed on 4 April 1876 in Dunedin at the present Rattray Street site at the foot of the City Rise. Since then the Speight's brand has been firmly planted in the deep south of New Zealand Packaged Speights (bottles and cans) beer is brewed in Auckland and Dunedin

After lunch of course we thought we better have a good walk past Lake Wakatipu and back to our accommodation. 

There is a great path alongside the lake and was quite enjoyable and sure helping us with this trying to get/keep fit thing lol.

New camera, boring pic's and some crochet

Hello there. Got myself and new little camera as my old fujifilm was having problems with its zoom and just not performing very well. Also this one has a fantastic zoom and can take it anywhere with me when I don't want to lug the much bigger fujifilm slr.

See, a greet zoom. Its 16 mega pixels, 28mm wide 16x zoom with 3.0 lcd screen perfect.

And of course I have just had to take a few boring shots, just because I can. Close up of my beloved Rosemary ☺

That light is even further than the trees you can see here with me taking a shot near my blue star ☺

Also got a nice (cheap) tea pot so I can make some special herbal concoctions.

Now have Rosemary, Thyme, Sage and Lemon Thyme hanging in the kitchen to use when dry.

A bit of crochet has been going on but can't show you the end results of this as it is a xmas present for someone and they may see lol.

Started a very quick easy pattern from the wonderful laughingpurplegoldfish and the pattern is available for free on ravelrycalypso-the-kooky-owl and come say hi to me if you like, I am batwing57 over there ☺

You use 3 strands of 8ply and 6.5mm hook and makes up quickly

Isn't she cute with her button eyes

and a hand stitched nose but can use felt too.

She is currently residing with this lot but she looks a little unsure lol lol 

Would make a great gift for anyone and there are quite a few sizes in the instructions. This one is the little one.
