This is a young picture of my Mum.....she died on good Friday at the age of 91 after a rough 12 mths of requiring residential care after a stroke and fighting bladder cancer....

A photo of her with my dear Dad her much loved husband who died in 2005
They had 5 kids with me being the 2nd youngest ☺and became Nanny and Gramps to many...

Here she is with one of her many granddaughters ♥

And with my Sarah her 6th grandchild ☺

One of my sisters and her hubby with Nanny and Gramps and 4 of their 5 boys

Here she is with my 4 and my brothers 3......she ended up with 14 grandchildren

She was able to celebrate a 90th for one of her friends ☺

Even going to a hens party 2014

And the wedding too ♥

Celebrating her own 90th last year in March

And enjoying twin great granddaughters ♥♥
She ended up with 16 great grandchildren and met every single one of them which gave her a reason to smile ☺☺☺☺
We have wonderful fun memories

And yes it continues...............

Ah hello, look the floor is ready for some more dirty walking up and down the hallway to that bathroom reno......

Bath taps at the ready

The man and plumber have been working together on the next part....lots of noisy cutting and sawdust....

A frame ready for the bath to go in....when Bunnings actually have our bath available.....

Going to have a new tastic heater/light/fan here

From the hallway looking through the temporary plastic wall....this of course saves on having too much dust in the rest of the house.....

Concrete sealed over for where the shower will be when......yes  Bunnings have that available.....

Look at that man go with filling in a hole under the bath area with concrete....

You may notice the old tiles will still live under the bath but the rest of tiles have now been removed ☺

Back in the hallway looking towards where the old toilet door was and now going to be the walls of the bath......this was Wednesdays work

And just now today (Thursday) they got together to do the walls with waterproof Gyprock Aquachek and you may notice we now have NO window, this is temporary as the window we ordered is not here yet so lets hope CAN fit it from the outside....

Going to have laminate too around the bath area once we pick what ever we are going to have.....already have in mind what I would like on the floor.....A plasterer is calling in to let us know when he can do a bit of work but other than that may not be any more updates till next week....let's hope the shower at least can be here ASAP....I have vacuumed the house so many times this week and washed floors, exhausting lol but all good ☺☺

Oh how sweet the man is holding Sophie's Universe, just completed part 5, only 5-6 weeks behind ☺

And a present is wrapped for my grandboy who just turned 16 (I feel old) and reckon he will laugh at the paper I chose lol

Mum's gift is all wrapped too and will give it to her Sunday....cute cupcakes on this lovely paper.....
Well it has been a busy time here and look forward to sleeping in eventually...
Take care out there xoxo

Skyline Gondola, madman on the Luge and more lovely views in nz south island

Yes I am back again ☺  Yesterday started a little cloudy but still good weather. This mountain in not like your Mt Hood (Gracie and Teresa ☺☺) but there is a heaps of snow here in the cooler months.

We had booked ourselves a lunch up at Skyline which meant we were going to ride the Gondola. We have done this before but I did not have my blog then, just used to annoy family and friends with mega emails lol

The man enjoying the start of the ride ☺

My view down as we speed up.

Looking up towards where we were headed

Very high/steep but wonderful views.

My selfie looking a little apprehensive lol

Up the top outside on the viewing deck area

Good shot of the lake

Legend of the lake

A speck in the water to the right

Zoomed in and it was the SS Earnslaw steam boat.

Wonderful view while we had our lunch ☺☺

Yes that is the man up there....he decided after lunch he would have 3 trips riding the luge

Here he comes lol

Racing away

Look at that cornering lol  He had a good fun

Then in the afternoon took a drive up to here.

A very large ski area

With amazing views and must say it was a little chilly up here

Oh and every day this black cat appears across the road from our lounge window so had to zoom in to catch a good shot. I had to bang on the window to make it look over lol.
Today is raining so may just have a quiet day with a meal out in the evening if the rain stops.
How is it where you are?
Love to you all xoxoxo
