One a day Tuesday and end of holiday

 

Yes one a day Tuesday, gosh the weeks are flying but my hook is not!! But have done a little and of course have been away on holidays in a warmer place too. link to gingerbreadgirl-carole who has not been on her blog since mid October, do hope things are ok.

The blanket is getting there and almost up to just doing the border around and around.

Oh yes and those pesky ends have to be sewn too. Think my crochet mojo has gone whacko as just can't motivate myself currently......... oh well.  Hope those doing the one a day are doing better than me and welcome to newbies too. Well the holiday has ended and a few last pics to put on for fun/boredom lol.

My bro in-law and the man just after going by train (10min trip) to Brisbane, heading to meet his daughter my niece and partner for lunch with my sister too.

Busy in the streets of Brisbane with some distant protesters too. Had a great lunch but for their privacy no pics on here. Went to Jo jo's which is a very great place to eat with good range of food link to site for those who are living or visiting Brisbane.

Back to my sister's place (there she is having some water lol) and hubby in the middle of kitchen renovations ☺☺

And their cute little doggy Milo (jack Russel) sorry about the bright eyes but could not adjust even on computer here.

 

A few days later on the road home and took a few snaps of the motorway/freeway on the way to/through Sydney region (not through Sydney though). The road was made with them carving through solid rock, goodness knows how long that took.

Beep beep oh look its the road runner, after being at Movie world this bus reminded me of the fun on those rides and how much braver I am the older I get, or more a fool lol lol.

The rocks are amazing and this is just on the side we were on with the other side being through the gap on the right of photo.

So close and yet so far from my son who lives in nsw, he of course joined us whilst we were in Coolangatta.

No more rocks, just lots of trees as we travelled on further into country nsw.

This is lake George which is between Canberra and Sydney on the Federal highway Lake George which is one of those disappearing lakes depending on rain etc and interesting read in the link. I saw some water but hard to photograph, but heaps of wind turbines in the distance. 

More beautiful scenery along the Monaro Highway link which crosses through act, nsw and victoria states of Australia. Beautiful views along the way and sometimes snow capped mountains.

We travelled just under 1800klm's to get home over 2days with 2 night stops along the way and now back home again to this.......

Don't like the look of this!! Oh well that's what happens when you go away for 3 weeks and the weather is wet/sunny, major grass growth.

Something on my to do list although the man did mention he might even do it for me, how lovely is he as he is now back at work and I have a bit of family/friend catchup's to do which also mean me being on the road again....... One a day Tuesday, complete failure...... and ex's

Another week has gone by and all I have done is 2 rows, yep only 2, what a failure lol.

Same shot from last week, but it's pretty. I head off for 3weeks to the Gold Coast coolangatta where it is going to be sunny and very very warm.

But on the weekend I had fun catching up with ex's. Ex ma-inlaw 80th birthday.

My poor ex sis-inlaw, I nearly always get shots of her eating, hope she will forgive me. And her uncle,her dear dad's (dec) brother.

No 2 son my ex bro-inlaw.

And no 3 son, baby boy also ex bro-inlaw ☺☺

Here is no 2 son's wife, very pretty and lovely hair.

My son in the background, my younger boy's girlfriend (very pretty) and my ex's new partner (the blonde) who is also very pretty. Oh and the only shot where you can see little Misty, just the top of her blonde curly hair, bad granny not getting other pics.

Look as these stunning young girl's!! 2 nieces and I had not seen them in over 10yrs, gorgeous!!

These 2 belong to the no 2 son of grandma and I had not ever met them, fun pair they are lol.

And a slightly better shot of my dear ex sis-inlaw, love seeing her and her hubby (who I took NO pics of lol).  None of me or the man, well I did get one of that man of mine but it was of him poking his tongue at me and a shocker, so thought best to leave it out.

One a day Tuesday, but have done more on this!

Ok this is not the granny stripe, but, I have been working on it and will show a pic further down, but it had to wait while I continued on this. The fishie bag holder test for the lovely lady over at laughingpurple Sharon, she has really neat patterns over there.

I call mine Fishie the catfish, although not exactly looking too catlike but I like lol. This is her lying flat.

And now hanging stuffed, neat eh?? ☺☺I think this would hold over 100 plastic bags!! Or if not into using plastic, rags is another good idea.

Ok, so here is the granny stripe still growing sideways and over halfway for sure, but I did only manage 5 rows so hang my head in shame lol.

I do love these colours although in person they are much nicer.

 

Now seeing as I was in my bedroom taking all of those snaps thought I would show you the neat Nightmare catcher that was given to me over 20yrs ago (yes I like weird stuff) I have so many "different" things around the house which I have either bought or been given by my family ☺☺

And I have of these, one on either side of the bed given to me by my oldest boy roughly 10yrs ago, can you also see the tiny sticker on the post, that is a glowing skull head. Hope again I have not scared anyone off, I really am nice just love these type of things to decorate around the home. Luckily the man here indulges my likes as not something he is really into but he loves me ☺☺

One a day Tuesday

Yes another week gone by and I have actually done a bit more on the granny stripe.

Bit of a blurry pic as had it on the washing line and wind kept blowing lol.

Just to show I have been doing other things, here is never-ending-blanket-square from Deb's crafts a great easy pattern. Sewed in the ends last night and is now in the mail to one of my ravelry friends for a project where quite a few of us are doing a square for a blanket to be put together for an expectant rav member ☺☺

Also knocked up this cake which I took with me to the meet up with other rav ladies (which I mentioned in last post). A low fat Raspberry loaf from cookbook number 6 symplytoogood. Tasted better than the picture turned out lol.

Oh and a nice picture of one of my sisters. The one who usually has her back turned or hand up to hide her face, silly Jule lol lol.

 

One a day Tuesday again already!!

Gosh another week gone and getting closer to, dare I say XMAS!!! Talk about getting older even quicker lol.  Anyway here is my progress for this week, it is getting there and loving the colours myself.

So the one a day Tuesday which the lovely gingerbreadgirl-carole got a lot of us doing. Me being almost a day ahead here means hers won't show till late today or tomorrow.

And here it is on our spare queen size bed, a bit shorter which is okay as is for 5yr old but I think I may be a little bit more than half way as remember I am now doing with the stripes up and down the bed, although it never matters how you have a rug on you as long as it keeps you warm.

Still no chance to mow as when I had the chance it rained and when it wasn't I was involved  with car trips up and down with grandson and family, oh well eventually, although it is getting very thick. But you can't see the water/squelch/mud that is lurking under those pretty daisy's.

Well, now I better get on with that blanket although of course have heaps of other things on the go, I have a problem......lol lol ☺♥
